Battery Management System (BMS) Features
An interface which can function as a monitoring and / or control solution for Yuasa LEV40-8 modules and the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV packs, BMW i3, VW E-Golf and GTE and Tesla Model S/X modules (check manual for features available with these modules).
This is a used 18650 Tesla battery module from a 100kWh Model S. Currently the best battery on the market for energy density, allowing many classic conversions to get well over 200/320 miles/km per charge.
A Model S module consists of 3400mAh cells arranged in a 86p6s configuration. It is rated at 580 amps, 870 amps peak. Has an integrated liquid cooling/heating system, but can also be air cooled in light duty cycle applications.
Has an integrated connector with cell level connectivity for BMS systems and two integrated thermistors. The module contains 516 cells, and each cell is independently safety fused on both terminals.
A preferred configuration for a typical Netgain Hyper 9 application is 1p5s / 1p7s for a total of 32 / 44,8 kWh, or 2p5s / 2p7s for a total of 64 / 89,6 kWh of energy with a total of 10 / 14 modules.
These work particularly well in 24 volt off grid solar applications as well.
